Born and raised in New York, Susan Adeyeye is an ambitious, self-starter, and most specially, a child of immigrants. Her Nigerian roots and upbringing guided her perception of life, teaching her from a young age to view people and society through an open lens.

This followed her as she graduated from The City College of New York in 2021 with a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies and a minor in Black Studies. Susan most recently received her M.P.A. from Baruch College.

At her core, Susan embodies an unwavering commitment to social justice. Beyond public affairs, her passions include creating safe, impactful, and resourceful spaces for women of color, especially in a society where they are often unvoiced, underrepresented, and discredited.

Susan’s combined experience in nonprofit as a Special Assistant to the Executive Director at Power of Two, and in government in the offices of State Speaker Carl E. Heastie and Council Member Julie Menin have prepared her for the work she wants to continue to do here at Pythia — create long lasting change and help develop thriving communities.
